The Science Spritz
Celebrating a momentous occasion, our colleagues recently marked the fourth event of “The Science Spritz” at the PUB Discanto in Sottomarina, Chioggia. This collaborative initiative between the Departments of Biology and BCA at the University of Padova unfolds monthly, providing a platform for scientists to bridge the gap between their aquatic and marine research and the wider community, all while indulging in a refreshing spritz.
So, what exactly is “The Science Spritz”? It’s more than just a convivial gathering; it’s an opportunity for scientists to infuse their passion for aquatic exploration into a social setting, making science accessible and engaging for all participants.
During the inaugural event, our colleagues presented the audience with the captivating theme of Underwater Noise, delving into the approaches of three JPI Oceans-supported projects: DIAPHONIA, Orchestra, and DeuteroNoise.
The underlying belief is that knowledge should flow like the tides, reaching everyone curious about the intricacies of the world around us. The event encapsulates the essence of science communication, breaking down barriers and fostering a deeper connection between researchers and the wider community.
We look forward to having more engaging discussions at future editions of “The Science Spritz,” where science meets sociability in the spirit of dissemination and exploration.
